| LICKIN' LIZARD Materials Needed Foam Pipe Cleaners Marker Scissors Opt: Craft Glue, Googly Eyes Instructions Cut-out a 2X6 inch piece of foam. Round off the corners with scissors. Fold the foam in half making the width in half. Poke a 4 inch pipe cleaner (leg) through the foam about one inch back and 1/4 inch from the edge. On the other end, poke another 4 inch pipe cleaner (leg) in the same position. Poke a 6 inch pipe cleaner (tongue) through the center of the end about 1/4 inch from the edge. Wrap the end around the leg pipe cleaner to secure. On the other end, poke a 12 inch pipe cleaner through the center about 1/4 inch from the edge and wrap the end around the leg pipe cleaner to secure. Take a pencil to the tongue and curl the end by wrapping it around the pencil. Curl the tail by wrapping it around a few fingers. Bend the legs in a square-type shape and slightly bend the ends for feet. Draw on eyes with a marker. (Opt: Glue on googly eyes.) |
